Great people with interesting life experiences and insights make up The Ranch Country Club’s vibrant community — and we profile our members and staff periodically to highlight their unique contributions and underscore that this is a great place to belong.

Name: Liana Le, server at The Ranch since June 2016

Your hometown and where you live now: I grew up in Broomfield, Colo., and now live in nearby Boulder, where I attend the University of Colorado.

Speaking of education: I am studying finance and international business on a full academic scholarship.

Where you can find me online: I am a member of the leadership team of a startup company, Karma Bikinis. I’m working as a manager of the company’s finance and operations. We are passionate about ocean conversation and fair trade. The company gives 7 percent of its swimwear sales to ocean conservation efforts.

Why I enjoy working for The Ranch and what I hope to accomplish here professionally: I enjoy interacting with members, getting to know them and building relationships with them that result in repeat business for the club. This is a great opportunity to build my own skills in business development.

My favorite pastimes: I travel. I have visited 35 states and 26 countries. I have backpacked alone in northern Europe, South America and southeast Asia. My travel highlights include seeing post-Communism Russia, where the rebuilding and preservation of culture and architecture were inspiring. In Thailand, people were nice, the scenery was amazing, and I was drawn to the beach. In Brazil, I watched the impeachment of the president and the preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympic games.

A book or film recommendation: Inferno by Dan Brown. I also like the film “The Imitation Game.”

Best advice I have been given: My dad has always told me lovingly, “Do better. Just do better.” There’s no such thing as failure. Everything is a learning experience.

My motto: Constantly revaluate life circumstances, and don’t turn down opportunities for experience and growth.
